1 Bowl
1 Whisk
1 Cake mold 22cm
- 180 grams wheat flour
- 150 grams butter
- 50 grams sugar powdered
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cream cheese filling:
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 50 grams sugar
Apple filling:
- 3 apples
- 50 grams sugar
- 50 grams sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
For the base:
Line a 22 cm mold with parchment paper and grease the sides with butter.
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the butter little by little, using your hands, and continue mixing until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
Press the mixture into the mold, shaping the base and creating a 2 cm border on the sides. Then, refrigerate it while you prepare the filling.
Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
For the cream cheese and apple filling:
Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth. Set aside.
Peel and slice the apples into thin pieces.
Mix them with sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Pour the cream cheese mixture onto the chilled base and top with the apple pieces.
Sprinkle sliced almonds over the apples.
Baking and serving:
Bake at 230°C (450°F) for 10 minutes, watching the almonds closely.
Once the almonds are toasted, cover with foil and lower the temperature to 200°C (400°F). Bake for another 30 minutes.
Let the pie cool on a rack and remove from the mold. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or cold.
