Apple Compote
This sugar-free apple compote recipe is easy to prepare, very healthy compared to other jams and quite versatile. Try it out!

- 4 apples
- 200 ml water
- 1 lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick (or half teaspoon cinnamon powder)
Wash the apples, core them, remove the seeds, peel them and cut each one into four pieces.
Turn the fire to medium intensity and place a pot with the water until the boiling point is reached.
At this point, add the apple pieces, the juice of a lemon and the cinnamon. Cover the pot and let it cook for 20 - 30 minutes. After this time the apple should be soft and dark in color. If not, let it cook for a few more minutes.
Finally, remove the pot from the heat and wait for it to cool down. You can now purée the apple mix to get a smoother consistency and serve it or just keep it in the fridge to eat later and colder.
